Gum Disease / Bleeding Gums Treatment (Periodontitis Treatment)
Gingivitis: The first stage in Gum Disease is called Gingivitis. Gingivitis means inflammation of gums. This is because of irritation of gums by bacteria present in plaque and calculus. Dental Scaling removes this layer of plaque and calculus. Basic Dental Scaling procedure takes about 15-20 minutes at our Dental clinic in Mumbai. After Dental Scaling we do polishing to remove external staining on teeth.
Bleeding gums and other gum diseases are very common and prevalent. Most patients come to our clinic in Chembur at later stages of gum disease called Periodontitis, In this stage the bone gets infected and patients complain of loose teeth. For correcting this stage we require a specialized procedure by a Periodontist. The early stage of gum disease is reversible and this stage is called gingivitis.
